MATTHEWS, N.C. — Matthews is now the primary Mecklenburg County city to welcome electrical scooters. The Charlotte suburb launched its one-year pilot program with Bird on Friday.
The streets of Matthews are sometimes busy with customers, residents, and vehicles. Amy Williams, supervisor of Moxie Mercantile on Trade Street, advised WCNC Charlotte she sees a number of foot site visitors.
