A “low life” driving an E-scooter has been caught on CCTV stealing a cat’s kennel from a household backyard.
The pet’s dwelling was taken from exterior a house in Laxton Way, close to North Road, Sittingbourne, at round 3.45am on Wednesday morning.
In footage of the theft you’ll be able to see a person in shorts and white trainers parking the scooter up earlier than disappearing from shot and coming again with an outside kennel.
He then rides off out of shot with the kennel on his scooter.
Marc Palmerton, who caught the theft on digicam, slammed the “low life” for leaving a 16-year-old cat with none outside protection.
He stated: “Some low life on an electric scooter stole a cat kennel from the front garden last night at around 3:45am.
“The kennel was proper by the home, not ready for it’s taken by mistake. It even had a concrete slab on prime.
“The cat now does not have a bed for when they are outside.”
While Frank the cat’s proprietor, Marc’s mother-in-law Tracey Miller, added: “It’s laughable really.
“It’s humorous that somebody could be so unhappy to steal a makeshift kennel.
“My daughter was staying at my home that night and heard a sound which woke her up at around 3.30am but didn’t think anything of it.
“When she went to feed Frank the concrete slab was on a flower bed and the kennel was gone.
“If he had asked I would of shown him how to make one, instead I have a 16-year-old cat with no night house.”
Tracey stated Frank is an outside cat and hates coming inside, besides on the odd event for a stroke or to heat up, and has been left with no bed for a few days now.
She added: “They must have really liked it as they went up my drive directly under my window and had to move a heavy slab.
“So there was a whole lot of time and work put into stealing it.”
Police weren’t contacted in regards to the theft.
