Rideshare and supply drivers in addition to tipped employees can be lined below a brand new $18 hourly minimal wage in Portland, Maine, if voters approve a poll measure in November.
The Portland City Council voted unanimously Monday evening to position the referendum on Nov. 8 ballots. The measure would progressively enhance the citywide minimal wage to $18 by Jan. 1, 2025, up from the present $13 minimal.
