BALTIMORE – Authorities on Tuesday launched the identification of the Maryland man who was struck and killed after being thrown out of his rideshare on a Delaware freeway.
The man was recognized as Sidney Wolf, 43, of Clarksburg, in response to Delaware State Police.
The crash occurred about 2 a.m. Sunday in the southbound lanes of Route 1 close to Anchor Way in Dewey Beach, Delaware, authorities stated.
Authorities stated Wolf and mates had ordered a Lyft journey from Dewey Beach to Bethany Beach after they received into an unspecified dispute with the motive force.
The driver stopped the automotive in the left lane and demanded that every one six passengers get out, police stated. Police stated one other driver modified lanes to keep away from the stopped car and struck Wolf.
The 43-year-old was pronounced useless on the scene. No one else was injured.
The Lyft driver, who drove away afterward, has not but been recognized.
