AN investigation is underway after a boy was knocked off his e-scooter by a police car close to a south Essex prepare station.
Essex Police has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct following the incident, which left the e-scooter rider with minor accidents.
It is known the boy’s scooter was struck whereas he was using close to to Billericay Station, in Radford Way, on Sunday.
One eyewitness claims the police car was travelling at “high speed”.
An Essex Police spokesman mentioned: “We have voluntarily referred ourselves to the IOPC, following a collision involving certainly one of our police automobiles and a member of the general public on an electrical scooter.
“This occurred while police have been responding to an incident in Basildon on Sunday.
“The member of the general public, who was a juvenile obtained minor accidents.
