CHICAGO – Two 15-year-old boys have been charged after allegedly carjacking a rideshare driver at gunpoint Monday evening in Stateway Gardens on the South Side.
Chicago police stated the kids had been arrested round 11:03 a.m. Tuesday morning after allegedly carjacking a feminine rideshare driver within the 4300 block of South Dearborn Street roughly 13 hours earlier.
Police stated officers noticed the stolen car in site visitors within the 5500 block of South Wells Street with the kids nonetheless inside. One of the boys was taken into custody whereas the opposite tried to flee on foot. He was taken into arrested a short while later, police stated.

Both boys had been charged with felony counts of aggravated vehicular hijacking, in line with police.
