Beginning July 15, rideshare places can be expanded in the West seventh Village to accommodate peak demand for rideshare providers on Friday and Saturday nights. Additionally, one new rideshare location can be added on the 2900 block of West Seventh Street.
This change will take away pickup areas from the busiest streets and can enhance rideshare areas from 15 to 50 – permitting for a extra environment friendly pickup course of in the West seventh Village, easier area entry and fast exits for rideshare autos.
These adjustments are made with two elements in thoughts: improved public security and extra environment friendly site visitors circulation.
These zones will function from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Friday night to Sunday morning. Parking meters can be bagged and unavailable throughout these hours. Permanent signage can be added quickly.
Zones can be out there at these places:
- Side of West Seventh Street between Norwood and Currie streets.
- Currie Street in the northwest nook of Currie and Morton streets.
- Bledsoe Street at the southwest nook of Bledsoe and Norwood streets.
- A big adjoining area at the intersection of Morton and Foch streets.
