WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — Those who work and reside at Sheppard Air Force Base may soon have entry to rideshares and meals supply choices beforehand unavailable to them.
2nd Lt. Ebony Bryant, Public Affairs Officer with Sheppard AFB, mentioned the 82nd Security Forces Squadron will bein processing base entry requests for app-based rideshare and meals supply service workers.
Approved app-based companies embody:
- Uber
- Uber Eats
- Instacart
- Lyft
- Door Dash
- Grubhub
2nd Lt. Bryant mentioned the primary 100 permitted candidates will obtain a 60-day move after being vetted to conduct app-based enterprise on the set up at any given time.
A coverage instituted by Sheppard AFB in 2018 prohibited rideshare applications from serving potential clients on base.
