E-scooters will quickly be obtainable to rent in new components of town after Voi introduced a considerable growth of its e-scooter service in Birmingham. The Swedish firm has greater than doubled the scale of its working space.
Places in the east and west of town like Bordesley Green , Handsworth , Harborne , Saltley and Small Heath will all now be included in the scheme. The service will run from 5am till 10pm in Birmingham.
Voi’s e-scooter ‘transport revolution’ was launched in September 2020 . Since that point, Voi says Brummies have made 970,000 rides over a distance of almost 1.3 million miles.

Andy Street , mayor of the West Midlands, mentioned: “E-scooters are proving hugely popular in Birmingham and across the West Midlands with almost a million journeys in the city since the trial first launched, many of which have replaced car usage for shorter trips.
“Now we are building on this momentum by doubling the size of the trial zone and increasing the number of e-scooters available to enable even more people to benefit – beating traffic jams and reducing air pollution on our streets.”
