Darfon Electronics has obtained orders for electrical bicycles (e-bikes) with shipments scheduled till the top of 2022, based on firm chairman Andy Su
Darfon is establishing an e-bike meeting manufacturing unit in Vietnam, with completion scheduled for fourth-quarter 2022. The manufacturing unit could have preliminary annual manufacturing capability of 150,000-200,000 e-bikes and the capability will probably be expanded to 600,000 sooner or later. By then Vietnam will account for 30-35% of its e-bike manufacturing capability, China 45-50% and Taiwan 10-15%.
Darfon will showcase new e-bike options at Eurobike in Frankfurt, Germany in mid-July 2022 and expects the exhibition to assist carry new orders in 2023 and 2024, Su mentioned at a May 3 buyers convention.
Production of keyboards in China in April was impacted by COVID lockdowns in some Chinese cities, and Darfon will maintain watching the affect in May-June, Su famous. The proportion of keyboard shipments for LED-backlit fashions for enterprise and gaming notebooks is growing, Su indicated.
Darfon produces passive elements as properly and can give attention to mid-range and high-end fashions in addition to car-use ones.
Darfon has determined to distribute a money dividend per share of NT$3.00 (US$0.10) for 2021.
