UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — An aged Upper East Side lady died someday after she was hit by an electrical scooter rider whereas crossing an East Harlem road, police mentioned.
Mehri Hekmati, 86, a Lenox Hill resident, succumbed to her accidents round 11 p.m. Saturday, police mentioned Tuesday.
One day earlier, round 4:50 p.m. Friday, police say Hekmati was strolling south on Third Avenue when she tried to cross East 104th Street. At that second, a 35-year-old lady driving a stand-up electrical scooter west alongside East 104th Street hit Hekmati on the street.

The Daily News reported that Hekmati was within the crosswalk on the time. The scooter rider, who was driving in opposition to visitors on a one-way road, stopped and tried to assist Hekmati after the crash, in accordance with the Daily News.
