What’s taking place: Veo, one of many e-scooter suppliers in Fayetteville, has deployed 50 sit-down scooters — referred to as Cosmos — as a part of its fleet, the Fayetteville Flyer experiences.
- Another 50 are set to be distributed in late April or early May.
- The scooters are a part of a six-month pilot undertaking.
Why it issues: Micromobility applications like e-scooter and bike shares have the potential to scale back automotive journeys, visitors, parking wants and carbon emissions.
- These applications, together with Ozark Regional Transit, are essential to assist residents who do not drive get to work or faculty, store or entry medical care.
