CHICAGO (CBS) — A rideshare driver with a license to hold shot and wounded a would-be carjacker within the South Austin neighborhood on the town’s West Side Thursday night.
Police stated at 6:32 p.m., the driver – a 30-year-old man – picked up three males in his pink Mitsubishi the 5400 block of West Van Buren Street. One of the boys pulled a gun and demanded the automobile, police stated.
The rideshare driver fired photographs together with his personal gun, placing one suspect, additionally a 30-year-old man, within the forearm and hip, police stated.
The suspect who was shot was taken to Stroger Hospital of Cook County in good situation, police stated.
