FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — A 41-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning after he exited a rideshare vehicle on Interstate 5 and was struck by a passing vehicle, in keeping with Washington State Patrol.
WSP reported that a Lyft driver had picked up the flawed passenger from Cheers Bar and Grill in Tacoma round 3 a.m.
The rideshare acquired onto Interstate 5, heading north towards Federal Way.
The passenger was reportedly appearing “unruly” and started taking off his garments.
Just after 3 a.m., the Lyft driver pulled over on the suitable shoulder of I-5 at State Route 18.
The man then acquired out of the vehicle and stood within the far left lane earlier than strolling into the adjoining lane.
Another northbound vehicle tried to keep away from the person, however was unable to and struck him and the rideshare vehicle.
The man was then struck by an extra vehicle touring northbound.
He died on the scene.
The roadway was closed for over three hours whereas troopers investigated the incident.
