A heartbroken father has issued a determined plea for helmet safety, after his 13-year-old boy died in hospital following a tragic electrical scooter crash on the weekend.
The younger teen was using the scooter with a gaggle of buddies across the streets of Butler in Perth’s north early on Sunday when his scooter collided with a Ford Ranger.

Police issued a stark safety warning on Sunday, urging e-scooter customers to recollect the hazard of the units.
