The death of a Texas lady, killed in an electrical scooter crash in downtown Nashville final fall, has been ruled an accident by the Davidson County Medical Examiner.
Melinda Faye Lovelady, 56, died because of blunt power trauma after falling from her Lime scooter and being struck by a semi, Davidson County Assistant Medical Examiner Gulpreet Singh Bowman wrote in his Oct. 4 post-mortem report.
The four-page report launched over the weekend goes onto learn Lovelady suffered main neck and head trauma together with bleeding on the mind in addition to a number of damaged bones.
Bowman decided her method of death was an accident.

Lovelady, who lived in Flint, Texas, died simply after 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 3 after shedding management of the scooter she rode north on Third Avenue South close to Symphony Place.
While driving single-file with three different scooter riders, she started to swerve within the roadway, crossed into the southbound lane and collided with rear tires of the semi, a Metro Nashville Police Department investigation discovered.
No one else was injured.
At the time of the crash, police mentioned there have been no indications of alcohol involvement on the scene.
But a toxicology check performed by the medical expert confirmed her blood alcohol content material registered .07 – just below the authorized restrict to drive.
The driver of the semi was not charged.
