Several folks within the East Tampa neighborhood stated scooters have change into a flash level for hassle there.
“I heard a lot of commotion and the commotion was about the teenagers across the street arguing about the scooters,” stated resident Cathie Autry as she described what she noticed in the identical space Monday night time.
The subsequent night time, the same argument broke out and resulted in gunfire. A 13-year-old was shot and critically injured.
“When the light pole come on, the kids come out from everywhere. In the streets, disrespectful, running in front of cars, I’m surprised nobody got killed earlier,” stated a person who lives within the neighborhood, however who didn’t need to be recognized.
